The Terrifying Figure

Monday, March 30, 2009

I am turning 26 soon.

That's a scary figure, and then the thought of me having insignificant to zero achievements strike me!

What's my biggest achievement after I left college? Can getting a job count? Because I think job interviews are not easy to get through! Okay, I got this contract-based job after college, and 6 months later I got promoted and converted to a permanent staff to the company, with an increment of 40%, and of course, the so-called benefits. This is so far, the biggest achievement of mine in my career.

Is having a couple of credit cards from various banks consider an achievement? There's a big leap in the credit limit from the very first card my mom gave to me, to this current one I obtained myself. Not only has the credit limit increased; the figure in the statement's debit column increased simultaneously too. Each time I open the statement, I panic, and then the guilt of buying unnecessary haunt me. Never fail. I am such a squander mania. I am shocked with the amount I could spend each month, but I never look into detail of each transaction I made. I couldn't take the pressure of guilt knowing how much I spend in just a gift shop. Let's just say I haven't made any improvement in my wealth, other than owning couples of magic cards.

Despite the growth in the bills, the weight grows too! I don't understand, I have this resolution I made every New Year and weight reduction is in the top list, but still. I guess resolution never works on me, or I must be cursed to be one fat gene!

My relationship, on and off like an old light bulb that you will never know when is the time it goes off for good. Maybe it happens to every other couple out there. But, my light bulb break downs most of the time; and every times it goes off, I would doubt if it is time to go back with kerosene lamp. I never try kerosene lamp, not that I don't like kerosene lamp, but I am more adaptive to light bulb, and it is handy. Well, at least the bulb is still lustrous now, and I could forget about the kerosene lamp!

Soon, I will be 36. I might be poorer and fatter than I am now. If I resume the blogging life of mine and start crapping today, at least I still save a blog worth 3000 entries, and the counter hits 3000 (I will visit my own blog every single day (: ). That's not much though, but definitely more than the saving in my accounts.

So here I am, starting the first post in the new blog, feeling very much better thinking the "something" I'd made for myself.

Cheers~
